ROFC Scholarship
The Royal Oak Football Club seeks to promote the value of a higher education through this scholarship opportunity. We proudly offer a $1,000 scholarship to up to four high school seniors that have shown the most devotion and time commitment to ROFC.
We wish we had an unlimited number of scholarships for all of the great ROFC players that have played with us.
The following are the polices and requirements for the Royal Oak Football Club Scholarship :
An applicant for this scholarship MUST the following requirements:
o A graduating student in the current year,
o Playing for ROFC for at least 12 of 16 seasons starting from the ROFC U11 Division; and
o File a complete ROFC College Scholarship Application with ROFC on or before June 1st of their senior year.
The Royal Oak Football Club Scholarship Committee process is as follows:
1. The Royal Oak Youth Football Club Scholarship will be an annual one-time award of $1,000 dollars to a maximum of four high school seniors.
2. Any and all high school seniors who meet the criteria listed above shall be eligible to receive a scholarship award.
3. Any member of the Royal Oak Youth Football Club Board whose child has submitted an application shall excuse him/herself from any scholarship application review process.
4. The management and disbursement of the funds will be the responsibility of the Royal Oak Football Club’s Treasurer. The Royal Oak Football Club check(s) will be distributed directly to the awardee(s).
5. The recipient(s) of the Royal Oak Football Club’s Scholarship(s) are to be announced in July.
6. All applications will be reviewed and ranked by the Royal Oak Football Club Board. The applicant(s) with the best rankings will receive the scholarship(s).
It is understood that the awards are only for study in an accredited college or universities offering four year programs, or accredited community colleges, junior colleges offering two year programs, or accredited trade schools.
The application will be considered complete when accompanied by the following supporting data:
• Completed application form: ROYAL OAK FOOTBALL CLUB SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION;
• Current transcript;
• Letter of recommendation from a school teacher or counselor;
• Letter of recommendation from a current or former ROFC soccer coach or board member; and
• Digital photo of applicant

Coach Joe McLaughlin Memorial Scholarship
Coach Joe McLaughlin Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior in the desire to continue one’s
higher education by recognizing the quality of helping others through volunteering their time and skills to soccer teams and individuals of ROFC. The scholarship is in the form of tuition awards of $500.
The application deadline is June 1, 2021. Please download and complete this entire application to be considered for the scholarship.
