Safe Return to Play

Parents and Coaches, the City of Franklin has provided us their Safe Return to Play policy.  The important highlights of the program are below.
We ask that all parents read this and follow the directions.

As a reminder, the coaches and the FBC Board members are all volunteers and we dedicate our time because we all have a love of the game and playing a part in passing it onto our kids.  We make that statement because we are being asked to help enforce these policies.   If a coach or Board member asks you to follow these rules at the park please understand we would rather be discussing baseball with you but we have to help enforce the rules so that we can complete our season!

CITY OF FRANKLIN RETURN TO PLAY RULES
• All participants spectators, and employees must adhere to six-foot physical distancing while at the ballpark/quad.
• Coaches and players conduct daily symptom assessments (self-evaluation). Anyone experiencing symptoms must stay home.
• No team water coolers or shared drinking stations.
• Athletes are strongly recommended to travel to venue alone or with a member of their immediate household.
• Athletes should bring individual water containers.
• Face coverings at all times when not actively participating in the field of play or in batting cages when among other players or spectators.
• Belongings should be used only by the individual owner or operator including but not limited to water bottles, gloves, bats, hats, and other on– and off– field gear.
• No touch rule—players should refrain from high fives, handshake lines, and other physical contact with teammates, opposing players, coaches, umpires, and fans. A “tip of the cap” can be used following the game in lieu of the handshake line.
• No spitting or eating seeds, other similar products.
• Athletes should refrain from entering any quadrant where all fields are in play until time to enter the field for warm-ups. This will help to minimize exposure with crowding around fields or entryways.
• Hand washing or hand sanitizing, in the absence of soap and water, is recommended strongly during the games.
• Coaches must wear face coverings at all times when speaking with players within 6-foot.
• Coaches should ensure adherence to social distancing in dugouts and other seating areas and wearing face coverings while not actively participating on the field of play.
