About Our Club

Originally founded as FC Springfield in 2008,  Cliff and Clint Nurnberg hoped to provide kids with a "player-first" approach to club soccer along with a focus on reducing the costs of competitive training for players in the youth devlopment ages. In June of 2010, FC Springfield merged with Kansas City based Legends Soccer Club. In 2011, the club officially incorporated as a not-for-profit organization with the purpose of preparing players for national and international competition while also assisting families with lower incomes gain access to the competitive club soccer environment. The club attempts to provide each team with a designated coach with a background in competitive play and a commitment to coaching excellence. Springfield Legends currently runs active teams for both girls and boys from U8 through U18 age levels.
