Richmond Little League's umpire program is open to both youth and adults. 
Youth & adult umpires are utilized in all of our kid pitch divisions.  

No prior experience is required, just a willingness to learn and enthusiasm for the game. 
Umpires ages 15+ are required by the state of California and Little League International
to complete background checks as per the requirements of District 4 

RLL provides free training and ongoing support throughout the season. 

Scheduling is flexible based on your availability.  Games are played at Willie Mays Field
(Nicholl Park) on weeknights (usually 5:30P or 6:00P start times) and all day on weekends.

Youth ages 12-17 are eligible to be paid for umpiring after attending our mandatory
training sessions.  Returning or otherwise demonstrably experienced umpires between
the ages of 18 and 22 who are still students may also be eligible for our paid program. 

RLL has a zero-tolerance policy regarding disrespect and abuse of umpires.
