Registration Now Open for CCDS Youth Basketball
2nd through 6th Grades
We are now forming basketball teams for the 2025-2026 Winter Season. Our teams are associated with the Cincinnati Premier Youth Basketball League (CPYBL).
Registration- Registration Fee: $160.00 per player.
- Uniform: Each player will receive a new uniform as part of registration fees
- Registration ends at midnight on Sunday, October 5th.
Basketball is a team sport. The skill development of players and teams are directly related to the participation of players in practices and games. We ask that you understand that by signing up your child to play a team sport you are making a commitment to rest of the team and the youth sports program for your child to attend practices and games on a regular basis. We do understand that conflicts may occur but expect players to attend the majority of practices and games in order for all players and the team as a whole to have the best experience.
Team Size Limits
Each team has a limit of 10 players for registration and are filled on a first come first served basis. After 10 players are registered for any grade level, players will be placed on the waiting list. If enough players and volunteer coaches are reached to add an extra team, then players will be removed from the waiting list, in order of their registration. A minimum of 8 players per team must be reached to add another team.
Coach Volunteers Needed
This program relies on parent volunteers for coaches for 2nd through 6th grades. Please consider working with the students to introduce them to basketball skills and team play. If you would like to help, please sign-up when asked while registering your child. We will not be able to field a team at any level without a volunteer to coach. Thanks for your support!
Quick Facts Winter Season 2025-2026
- Our teams are associated with the Cincinnati Premier Youth Basketball League (CPYBL).
- The basketball season is open to all students in second through sixth grade at CCDS.
- Players may NOT play on two CYPBL teams.
- Please sign CYPBL waiver at Liability Waiver Header | Cincinnati Premier Youth Basketball League (cpybl.com)
- Team placement is determined by the player’s grade level.
- Teams play an 8-week schedule, with games being played on Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays.
- Regular season will begin on December 6th and will run through February 22nd. Post season tournament to follow for third through sixth grade. We will not know our game schedules until a few weeks prior to the season.
- The day and time of practice will be determined by gym availability. Because availability changes from week to week, as we must schedule around upper school and middle school practices and games.
Our Goals for the CCDS Youth Basketball Program are to...
- Provide an opportunity for students to learn and develop basketball skills.
- Have fun while promoting fitness.
- Reinforce the CCDS character virtues of respect, responsibility, integrity, compassion, and courage through team play.
- Build community.
