Bay Travel BASEBALL Tryout FAQ's

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT AGE GROUP MY CHILD IS ELIGIBLE FOR?
Your child cannot have reached the older age before May 1st.
All players on the 2025/26 8u league, cannot have reached 9 years of age, or older, as of May 1, 2026

ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES:
to play on 8u, you cannot be 9 before May 1, 2026
to play on 9u, you cannot be 10 before May 1, 2026
to play on 10u, you cannot be 11 before May 1, 2026
to play on 11u, you cannot be 12 before May 1, 2026
and so on....

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO TRYOUT FOR BAY TRAVEL BASEBALL?
Anyone is able to attend tryouts. Bay Travel Baseball will give rostering priority to players who:
• Live in bay village
• Attend school in Bay Village

WHAT SHOULD WE BRING TO TRYOUTS?
Water / baseball glove / baseball bat / helmet
wear cleats (baseball pants are optional)
If you don’t have a bat or helmet, there should be an extra available

DO WE HAVE TO REGISTER PRIOR TO TRYOUTS?
Yes, please! The registration form can be accessed on our Facebook tryout post or on the Bay Travel Baseball website.

WHERE ARE THE TRYOUTS?
Please reference your specific age group on the tryout flyer.

ARE PARENTS REQUIRED TO STAY OR CAN WE DROP OFF?
Drop off is allowed!

ARE TRYOUTS FREE?
Yes!
