Carrie Molaka





Carrie Molaka comes to Mako with many years of playing and coaching the beautiful game. Carrie is originally from Charlotte, NC where she was a standout player for Charlotte Soccer Club, Charlotte Catholic High School (169 goals, 99 assists), and the NC State Team and Region III Team. She played her college soccer on a full athletic scholarship at UNCC-Charlotte(1998- 2000, All-Freshman/First Team All -Conference, leading scorer) and finished her last year at CSU(First Team All-Conference, Big South Player of the Year, Attacking MVP). She also played professionally for the Charlotte Speed in the W-League (second youngest player in the league) from 1998-2000.

As a coach she has been a director of coaching at Charleston United Soccer Club, Space Coast United, Rockledge Soccer Club, Florida Elite, and Azzurri Storm. She has been in the collegiate ranks assisting at Charleston Southern University, University of Toledo, and Florida Atlantic University. Carrie has served as an ODP State Staff Coach in South Carolina, Ohio and Florida and has served as an instructor for US Soccer and Florida teaching the USSF “D” license. Carrie holds a USSF “B” License, a US Soccer GR Instructors License, NSCAA National, Advanced National, and Premier Diplomas, a USYS National Youth License, and a NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma. She is looking forward to helping cultivate the competitive and creative minds of our future stars. Carrie is married to Akram Molaka and has two schnauzers, Bentley and Kodak.

Akram Molaka




Akram Molaka comes to Mako as our Director of Player Development. His motto; (a Chinese proverb) “live to learn, so you can learn to live”. A native of Baghdad, Iraq, a former youth national team player and University of Baghdad standout, Akram studied soccer in 6 different countries. Along these journeys he has earned:

He wanted to be a part of studying so many methods of soccer to better serve the players and coaches that he has been able to work with over the years. His goal is to produce players that are lifelong learners and winners on and off the soccer field.

Altimont Freddie Butler




Altimont Freddie Butler is a native of Kingston, Jamaica. Freddie played soccer for the Jamaican National team at every level in which he made his senior National team debut at the age of 17, he played professionally in Europe and was a 2nd round draft pick in the inaugural MLS draft for the San Jose Earthquakes. He also played for the Columbus Crew in the MLS.

Upon retirement in 1998 Freddie moved directly into coaching soccer. He won 3 state titles in the state of New Jersey before coaching professionally in Norway for 3 seasons and Chelsea in the UK. In 2010 he was the assistant coach for the Jamaican under 20 National team and was recently named Head coach of the Jamaican U-17 National team. He is the current Ambassador for the Senior National team. Coach Butler possess a UEFA B coaching license and is currently the technical director of Mako SC.
