HJFA Cheerleading uniform distribution/ordering will be held this year on a date TBD. Each cheerleader will be given a cheer vest and skirt, provided by HJFA, which will need to be returned CLEAN at the end of the season. Please do your best to wash your uniform after each game in cold water, being sure to lay flat to dry. These items CANNOT be dried in the dryer! TO PURCHASE INDEPENDENTLY:

• ALL WHITE sneakers (all canvas shoes such as Keds are discouraged since they stain easily)
• ALL WHITE no-show socks
• White sports bra or camisole for under uniform (these need to be worn each game as we may need to change uniforms due to weather and we do not always have sufficient bathrooms.)
• White winter gloves
• White or royal blue headband style ear warmers

Cheerleading practices are held outside of Hampton High School and will begin Monday, July 21, 2025. This year we will have  practices Monday through Thursday from 6-8 PM until the start of school.  Friday will be reserved as a weather make-up day, but no practice is regularly scheduled. Coaches will be able to adjust days/times based on the individual team's needs. Once school begins, practices will decrease to 2-3 days a week (likely to be Tuesday/Thursday with the possibility of Wednesday per coach discretion) and times adjusted due to school and decreased sunlight.

PRACTICE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable athletic wear and sneakers (game shoes are not required for practice).
• For the safety of all of the girls, we ask that NO jewelry be worn and hair be pulled back for all practices and games.
• Since there is never a guarantee on bathroom accessibility (we are not guaranteed accessibility to the school building), we STRONGLY encourage your cheerleader to use the bathroom PRIOR to practice - two hours can get a little long without it, especially for our little ones.
