Why should I ref?

You should ref because you care about your community and you want the players to have the best experience while playing.
You should ref because you love the game. 
You should ref because you get to exercise in the open air. 
You should ref because you get paid for your time.

How do I get certified?

Referees must be at least 13-years of age in order to be certified through USSF. There is an online training module, some expenses, and a background check for those over 18-years of age;  however,  NMYSA will send a reimbursement check for registration expenses and even a free uniform kit to first time referees.
