2024 Derby Pop Warner Football

Welcome to the Derby Pop Warner Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading Program. This program has been structured to teach our children the fundamentals of football and cheerleading.
Our program’s goal is to help your children learn the sports of football & cheerleading, promote scholastics, develop friendships, and establish discipline and most of all, have fun! 

Team assignments are based on age. Your team will automatically assign you by age via sports connect. This may change depending on team availability. A coach will reach out with your final team assignment prior to August 1st.. 

Please read below for a quick overview of some of our expectations for this season.

Derby Pop Warner Football's regular season starts August 1st and ends October 20th. If teams make playoffs, the season may extend into November. We expect all players to attend and be on time to practices, games, and required functions. Practices can be scheduled Monday – Friday, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Practices are 4 days a week during the month of August and then go to 3 days a week after Labor Day. All teams will participate in a Jamboree the last weekend in August. Games are scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays beginning Labor Day weekend. The game schedule is released the week prior and can be mid-week as needed for make-up games or playoffs. Practice and games do take place in the rain and snow. They are only cancelled or postponed due to severe weather.

2024 Derby Pop Warner Cheer


Welcome to the Derby Pop Warner Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading Program. This program has been structured to teach our children the fundamentals of football and cheerleading.
Our program’s goal is to help your children learn the sports of football & cheerleading, promote scholastics, develop friendships, and establish discipline and most of all, have fun! 

Team assignments are based on age, grade, seniority and on a first come basis. Your team will automatically assign you by age via sports connect. This can change depending on the criteria above. A coach will reach out with your final team assignment when registration closes. 

Please read below for a quick overview of some of our expectations for this season.

Derby Pop Warner Cheerleading is a large time commitment from August 1st until December. We expect all cheerleaders to attend and be on time to practices, games, competitions and required functions. Practices can be scheduled any time, Monday – Friday, 5-9 PM or Saturday as needed. Games and Competitions will be scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays and can be mid-week as needed for make-up games or playoffs.

We will be collecting three (3) payments for all cheerleading team members. These payments will begin on June 1st, 2024, and end on October 1st, 2024. Full payment can be made at any time, but minimum payment must be made on dates below. 
 
1.      June 1, 2024 – Registration
·         $250 for in-town, $275 out of town
2.      August 1, 2024 - Uniform Payment
·         $230 -$550+ depending on age and new or returning athlete
·         Competition Uniform, Shoes, Competition Bow and Hairpiece, Practice Wear/Game Day Outfit, Warm Up Suit, Game Bow
3.      October 1, 2024 - Travel Deposit
·         $525+ (2024 costs have not been released by National Pop Warner)
·         This deposit covers the athlete’s competition fee and is set forth by National Pop Warner. There will be additional fees for hotel, airfare/travel and any other add-ons like Disney, Universal or SeaWorld Tickets that are optional to buy.
The travel deposit will be refunded to you if the team does not advance to Nationals but is not optional to pay on October 1st.
