2026 Non-Competitive Cheer

 Derby Pop Warner's Non-Competitive Cheer Team is a fun and supportive program designed for athletes who want to learn cheerleading skills while cheering on our football teams. Participants will practice one day per week beginning August 1 and will cheer at football games starting the first weekend in September. The season includes 8 games total, with 4 home games and 4 away games, played on either Saturdays or Sundays. This program focuses on teamwork, spirit, confidence, and having fun while supporting Derby Pop Warner football.

2026 Derby Pop Warner Cheer Season

Welcome to the Derby Pop Warner Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading Program. This program has been structured to teach our children the fundamentals of football and cheerleading.
Our program’s goal is to help your children learn the sports of football & cheerleading, promote scholastics, develop friendships, and establish discipline and most of all, have fun! 

Team assignments are based on age, grade, seniority and on a first come basis. Your team will automatically assign you by age via sports connect. This can change depending on the criteria above. A coach will reach out with your final team assignment when registration closes. 

Please read below for a quick overview of some of our expectations for this season.

Derby Pop Warner Cheerleading is a large time commitment from July 15th until December. We expect all cheerleaders to attend and be on time to practices, games, competitions and required functions. Practices can be scheduled any time, Monday – Friday, 5-9 PM or Saturday as needed. Games and Competitions will be scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays and can be mid-week as needed for make-up games or playoffs.

We will be collecting a registration fee and four (4) payments for all cheerleading team members. The monthly payments will begin on June 15th, 2026, and end on September 15th, 2026. Full payment can be made at any time, but minimum payment must be made on dates below.

1. May 31, 2026 – Registration Payment – must be paid to sign up and hold a spot on any team $250 for in-town, $275 for out of town ($175 Jr. Tiny Mites ages 3-5).
2. June 15, 2026 – 1st Monthly Payment
3. July 15, 2026 – 2nd Monthly Payment
4. August 15th, 2026 – 3rd Monthly Payment
5. September 15, 2026 –4th Monthly Payment 

Your monthly payment will consist of the Uniform Charge and Travel Charge/Deposit divided by 4, minimum $225 per month, maximum $312.50+ depending on the needs of each athlete. 

Once registered, additional information will be sent to you via email within our code of conduct that must be signed by a parent/guardian and the athlete to participate. We look forward to having you as a part of the Derby Pop Warner Family!
