Football Registration Information

2026 STEWARTS CREEK YOUTH FOOTBALL

RED HAWKS TACKLE FOOTBALL

The Stewarts Creek Youth Football and Cheer Association (SCYFCA) is a member of the Tennessee Youth Football League (TNYFL) and calls Stewarts Creek High School's Football field home. Our teams will provide children ages 4-12 with the opportunity to participate in football and cheerleading programs and represent the Stewarts Creek Community.

Game Day Football

The season normally starts around mid-August and lasts through early November. Game day schedules will be announced as soon as possible (once TNYFL releases).
On game day, players are required to arrive at the game location at least one (1) hour early; this will allow them time to warm up and weigh in before kickoff. Each player must weigh in before every game to be eligible to play.
Players are expected to come ready, dressed in their game pants, jersey over their shoulder pads, and prepared for the game.
Only water/clear liquids are allowed while players are in their uniforms.

Uniform Fitting

We offer multiple fittings in June and July. We will continue to fit newly registered players as they register -- up until our cutoff date.
Each player will receive their helmet and shoulder pads on the first day. Shoulder pad rentals are $50.

Football Practice

Football practice starts in July (tentatively the week of 7/13). Our practice days are normally Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6 PM to 8 PM (subject to change).
We recommend that each player bring a water bottle labeled with their name. Water bottles will be placed in a designated area for easy access during frequent water breaks.

Practice Uniforms

You are responsible for providing a practice uniform. We have jerseys and pants available with the biggest size available being Youth Large, and they are VERY limited in quantity. Practice uniforms are available to purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The first two (2) days of practice will be a t-shirt, shorts, cleats, mouthpiece, and helmet only.
The remaining practices will be FULLY PADDED (helmet, shoulder pads, practice pants, mouthpiece, and cleats).

Practice Structure

All players will be separated into age groups and will practice with their direct coach to be evaluated for a position.
Age groups with multiple teams will be evaluated over a five (5) day period and will be assigned a team by either a coach’s draft or ability level.

Parent Obligations

All parents have one (1) obligation during the season: Work one (1) hour concession shift per player.

** Parents can buy out of the obligation for an additional $50 for concession duty .

Game Day Fundraising

Complete the July or August calendar - if you fill in all dates, we will refund 100% of your registration fees.
Fundraiser will be turned in via cash, Venmo, CashApp, or PayPal no later than August 31.

Parent Volunteers

Parent volunteer calendar will be sent for required and elective sign-ups (concessions, game chains, team parent, homecoming committee, etc.).

2026 STEWARTS CREEK 7v7 FOOTBALL

Stewarts Creek 7v7 Football Team

Tryout Information:

February 8, 2026

1 PM - 3 PM

Stewarts Creek High School: 301 Red Hawk Pkwy, Smyrna, TN 37167

Registration and Parent Information:

After tryouts, a coach will send an invite to each player that makes the team. Upon receipt of the invite, you can register the player.

Fees ($350) are due at the time of registration, which includes the player's uniform, tournament fee, and soft-shell helmet. Players can purchase an optional league backpack for $55. Players need to bring mouth pieces.

Practice Information:

During the season, practice is held once a week from 6 PM - 7:30 PM at Stewarts Creek High School or Middle School (pending confirmation of availability).

2026 Stewarts Creek Youth Flag Football (open to grades 1-4)

Skills Evaluation Information:

February 8, 2026

Registration and Parent Information:

Our Flag Football program does not require a tryout session. Instead, our coaches use this time to evaluate the registered players’ skills. Fees ($200) are due at the time of registration, which include the player's uniform. Players may purchase an optional league backpack for $55. Players need to bring mouth pieces.

During the season, practice is held once a week from 6 PM - 7:30 PM at Stewarts Creek High School or Middle School (pending confirmation of availability).
