Is there a Registration Deadline?We accept registrations until the camp is full--as camps begin to fill you will see the number of spots available. Camps fill quickly so we would encourage you to register early.
Do I have to pay in full or can I only submit a deposit?Our camps have two payment options:
1) Full Payment: Pay in full at time of online registration with credit card.
2) Deposit: Pay a nonrefundable deposit** at time of registration with credit card and remaining balance will be charged to your credit card on June 1st.
*These options will be made available to you when payment is required at the end of the online registration process.
**Nonrefundable Deposits: Day Camp--$1
Our website vendor has a $3 service fee for every transaction which accounts for the following:
--$3 to pay in full, $6 to pay a deposit and remaining balance, and $9 to pay three installments.
--If you sign up multiple campers at the same time you only pay the one $3 service fee per transaction.
Will I receive a confirmation e-mail?Immediately after you sign up for camp you will receive a confirmation e-mail as well as a receipt.
Can I print off a Registration Form and pay with a check?The online registration is the only way to sign up for our individual skills camp and elite camp. However, the winter prospect clinic has a separate registration form to print off!
What is your refund policy?
If in the event you are unable to attend camp, you will receive a refund as defined below. Please understand that this policy is not intended to be an aggravation or nuisance, but is necessary in order for us to provide a high level camp experience. Refunds provided within 120 days of the credit card used will go directly back to that credit card, but if the time between the registration and refund request is longer than 120 days the refund will come in the form of a check.
• Cancellation notice must be submitted in writing via e-mail to [email protected]
• Cancellations made 15 days or more prior to the start of camp will be awarded a full refund minus a $50 Fee.
• Cancellations made less than 15 days prior to the start of camp due to illness or injury requires a physician's written verification. Upon receipt of verification, we will issue a full refund minus the $50 Fee.
• No refunds will be provided for expulsion from camp.
- IF CAMP IS CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19 OUTBREAK REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN OUT EXCEPT FOR THE PROCESSING/CREDIT CARD FEES.
Do campers need to get a physical for camp?
A physical is not required for camp.
Do I need to fill out any additional medical/insurance forms?
All the medical/insurance information is collected in the online registration process.
Do you have the capability to handle my daughter's food allergies in your dining hall?
Lottie Nelson Dining Hall offers a variety of menu items daily that exclude the eight most common food allergens. These include Fish, Shellfish, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Wheat, Soy, Milk and Eggs. Nutrition and allergen information is available 24/7 on line for the menu items and offerings served in the restaurants at Messiah College. The information is inclusive of nutritional data, ingredient data, and dietary allergens information. The Net Nutrition software program also allows for guests of the college to filter (exclude) allergens and or dietary menu preferences from the list of menu offerings. The menus are available on NetNutrition two weeks in advance: www.messiah.edu/menu
For campers with medically diagnosed allergens or restrictions that will require the professional support of the Nutritionist and Executive Chef the following form must be completed 30 days prior to camp: https://www.messiah.edu/forms/form/518/en/allergy_form_for_conferencecamp
*Once the form is submitted, a Dining Services staff member will contact you to review your information in preparation for your visit to campus. Are health professionals available in case of an injury or illness?
Yes, we have certified Athletic Trainers that are available at camp.
Do you offer Discounts?
Yes, we have the following discounts available for our individual skills camp only:
Family Discount:
A family discount of $20.00 is given to an additional sibling who register for our individual skills camp. This discount does not apply to other Messiah camps.
Top 10 Housing Questions for ID Camp:
1. Do the dorms have air conditioning?
Yes, all of our dorm rooms have air conditioning. You are also welcome to bring a fan if you wish, but it is not necessary.
2. Are the dorms monitored?
Yes, we are very careful in monitoring campers in their dorm rooms. We have 4-6 Staff Members staying on each floor during camp and hold floor meetings in the evening. Dorms are also monitored during the afternoons and evenings when campers are in the dorm during free time.
3. Can I choose my roommate?
Yes, if you have another camper you would like to room with at Resident Camp please make sure they list your name as their "Roommate Request". We cannot honor roommate requests from only one of the two parties. PLEASE contact your roommate prior to camp to ensure that they are committed to coming to camp as well.
4. What if I do not have a roommate request?
If you do not request a roommate you will be paired with another camper of similar age who does not have a roommate.
5. Are there rooms with multiple beds available?
It depends on the dorm we are assigned. We often have a number of triples available. These are handled on a "first come-first serve" basis which means we cannot guarantee availability. If you are interested in getting on the Triple Request List, please send an e-mail to [email protected]
6. Can Friends/Teams/Groups room near each other?
If you have two or more rooms of campers that would like to be housed near each other please send your request to [email protected]
7. What if the roommate I requested doesn't register or withdraws from camp?
If your requested roommate doesn't register for camp or withdraws for some reason you will be placed with another camper of a similar grade who is in need of a roommate as well.
8. Do the rooms have a refrigerator or ice machines?
No, individual rooms do not have refrigerators, but there is a full-size refrigerator in the common-area kitchen. There are no ice machines in the dorms, but Athletic Trainers can provide ice to injured campers at the fields.
9. Can I bring snacks/drinks?
Yes, snacks and drinks are encouraged as only breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided.
10. Is wi-fi available?
Yes, each camper will be provided with login information when they check-in on Sunday.
11. Do I need to bring linens, towels, etc?
Yes. Campers must provide their own sheets, bedding, pillows, and towels this year.
