The players honored with this award will have demonstrated the qualities so engrained in the character of Coach Chris Lewis.  Through leadership, example, sportsmanship, respect, unselfishness, and dedication, they have demonstrated all that Coach Lewis demanded from himself and from us – on and off the field.  To live a life of excellence, service, and be a positive influence in the world.

Who better to receive this award than the first two players Coach Lewis impacted. His fingerprints are on everything these two have learned and lived. Their willingness to be a better version of themselves every day. To share their home and family with others. To give the gifts of time, treasure, and talent. To volunteer for Red Bird Mission through their church, building homes and assisting families less fortunate in Kentucky. On their teams, they have been Captains. In their schools, they have been exemplary students. In their town, they have mentored the next generation of players.
