Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Below you will find information on how you can help our players, coaches, and league. You will also find out what is required to register.
What can a Team Parent do?
- Use the Game Changer app to assist with team communications and score keeping.
- Helping coordinate team activities such as picture day and Mariners Day.
- Assist the coach with dugout behavior and ensure that players are not wandering off.
- Assist in safe and supervised restroom use.
- Help oversee that players are only released to their parent or guardian.
- Encourage coaches, players, and other parents to uphold their respective Code of Conduct and Little League Rules.
- Identify and report potential safety concerns to the Safety Officer.
- Upon request of the coach, a Team Parent may help on the field during practices, but NOT DURING GAMES. A qualified coach must be present at all times. Assisting is a privilege, not a right, and may be revoked.
- Please remember, Team Parents are NOT assistant coaches and do not have the required certifications to coach.
Please make an effort to be present at all practices and games as much as possible.
Team Parent Registration Requirements
To qualify for consideration as a Team Parent, you are required to upload the following items during registration:
- Valid Driver's License
- Photo for ID Badge (clear headshot, no sunglasses)
- Protecting Students from Abuse Certificate (approx. 45 min) (valid for 1 year from date of completion)

A failure to upload valid documents will delay your application and your ability to volunteer.
After you have successfully submitted your information, you will receive a background check from JDP at your registered email address. Please complete your background check within 2 weeks or the link will expire.
Photo ID Badge
As a Team Parent, you will receive a Photo ID badge with a lanyard. SCLL requires all volunteers to wear them whenever they are volunteering for SCLL. Your ID badge will be printed and distributed as soon as possible.
