ALL those who expect to be coaches or assistant coaches in 2023 for either Tackle or Modified Travel Flag (MTF) MUST complete the Coach Certification Process outlined below. Please be sure to save all your confirmation numbers and certificates on your desktop because you will be entering and uploading that information.

1. USA FOOTBALL CERTIFICATION
Whether you already have a USA Football account or need to create an account for the first time, use the following:
- Go to USA Football Certification ( https://footballdevelopment.com/courses-certifications )
- Click on "Get Certified"
- Select Contact or Non-Contact
- Select age group
- Click on "Get Certified"
- Login or Register for an account
- Type in promo code: FCFL2023
Please be sure that you do not share this code with individuals outside of your league.

2. CPR/AED FIRST AID CERTIFICATION
Tackle Coaches must have a valid certification through the entirety of the 2021 season. The certification is valid for 2 years, so if you completed your certification last season it is still valid and you can skip this section. To check your certification status and timeline in which the certification is valid, please check the following link -CLICK HERE. Again, this list includes the expiration date of your CPR/AED & First Aid Certification and has been updated to include the class on 5/16/23.
If your certification has expired or will expire during the season, we have arranged an online CPR/AED course as well as a First Aid course with the International CPR Institute. Both courses may be taken 100% online and each course will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. You will need to complete both courses as soon as possible but please do not register for the courses until you are ready to take them. The league will be charged as soon as you register so we do not want to be charged for courses that you are not ready complete immediately.

NOTE: Those coaches who have existing accounts because they have taken the course before will not be able to use the link above. Instead, simply log into your existing account, add the course(s) you need, and enter promo code "darien". It will drop your cost to zero and DJFL will be charged appropriately.
You will need your email address to identify yourself and to automatically have a certificate of completion sent to you as soon as you finish each course. You will also need to create a password that you will need to use each time you login should you do not complete the course at one sitting. Again, we encourage those taking the online courses to complete them immediately. Make sure you use a password that you will not forget.
Once you login, the directions on each page are very clear. If you should get logged out for any reason, do not go back to the form. You can simply log back in anytime by going to www.icpri.com/access. This is the main login page and if you have any problems, or if you need technical support of any kind, you will need to contact technical support. Any assistance with the site will be handled directly by International CPR Institute so do not contact myself or the DJFL for matters related to the certification programs.. Their email address is [email protected] and their hours of technical support are 8:00 am until 10:00 pm. They will respond to you very quickly to solve any issues.
Note:
Those coaches who completed Marj Trifone's CPR class on May 16, 2023 do not have to take the online CPR/First Aid courses. Please attach your Certification certificate on the DJFL website during your Coach Registration. You can search your emails for your Certificate of Certification from the American Red Cross on the evening of 5/16/23. Look for an email from: [email protected].
