We offer a recreational program in the winter and summer each year. These programs range from 6-8 weeks long. During these sessions players with any experience can train and play 1-2 times per week depending on their age. Currently all age groups are Coed.
PreK/K
- Meets once a week.
- During that 1 hour session they will train and scrimmage.
- It is important during this age that the kids are given minimal direction, and just allow them to run and play.
- They will learn some basic rules and work on controlling their body with and without the ball.
- There is no heading allowed in this age group.
- This is a great introduction program for children to start with.
1st-2nd Grade
- Meet twice a week
- During the 1 hour practice session they will train and scrimmage.
- With this age we will start to introduce dribbling and passing mechanics. There will be no gameplay strategy work. This is purely individual training.
- We will build on the rules learned in the PreK/K program.
- There is no heading allowed in this age group.
- There will be 1 game day for this age group. During the first week we will split up the players into teams. This will continue to provide them the opportunity to play and apply some of the individual skills that they have been working on.
3rd-5th Grade
- Meet twice a week
- During the 1 hour practice session they will train and scrimmage.
- We will continue to build and fine tune dribbling and passing mechanics. There will be no gameplay strategy work. This is purely individual training.
- We will also start to work more on finishing with correct posture.
- There is no heading allowed in this age group.
- There will be 1 game day for this age group. During the first week we will split up the players into teams. This will continue to provide them the opportunity to play and apply some of the individual skills that they have been working on.
6th-8th Grade
- Meet twice a week
- During the 1 hour practice session they will train and scrimmage.
- Dribbling and passing mechanics.
- Pass and move. During training there will be an emphasis on moving off the ball and noticing space to play/move into.
- Fine tune finishing form.
- Heading is allowed in this age group.
- There will be 1 game day for this age group. During the first week we will split up the players into teams. This will continue to provide them the opportunity to play and apply some of the individual skills that they have been working on.
