HOW IT BEGAN

A conversation occurred between a couple of parents and this question was asked: “If a program was offered in the winter, would you be interested in your children playing?” From that conversation, helpful  feedback was gathered the first team was created, which was a co-ed U8 soccer team, which was a great success. From that success, 2 U-10 teams were developed in 2019-2020, one boys and one girls. Matt then began to receive inquiries from parents who wanted their kids to play, but did not meet an age limit. From that point on, the thought of this organization became a reality!

ABOUT MATT LEIBERTON (Founder)

Founder Matt Leiberton has a coaching license for 7v7, 9v9, 11 v 11, National D License and Level 1 &2 Goalkeeper Diplomas. The Cheswick Warriors Futbol program was developed, as he played soccer from the age of 5-16,  and currently continues to play in multiple leagues.  I have been open with sharing my story about how the nonprofit came to existence. While coaching 3 years ago, my son was playing U8 soccer and a discussion occurred with some parents on kids continuing to play soccer in the winter months, as nothing was offered in the community.   From that point, 1 team turned into multiple teams, all not possible without the passion of the children and support from their parents!
