Hello Metro families,
We are excited to announce that Sunnyvale Metro’s 2023 Fall Ball registration is now open! Registration will be open until August 13, 2023.
NOTE: This year we are switching to a new registration platform, Sports Connect, so please bear with us as we learn to navigate this new platform and build up the Metro website (if anyone has experience with website building, please let us know!).
Please follow the steps below to register:
2) Click on the Register Now button next to the division you want to register your players, and it should take you to a login page where you will be prompted to create a new Sports Connect account (if you don’t already have one).
3) Once you’ve created your account, you can follow the instructions on the site to register your players.
FALL BALL 2023 DETAILS
- SEASON SCHEDULE: September 1, 2023 through October 31, 2023. Games will be played once a week on Sundays, with practices once or twice a week depending on the coaches.
- LEVEL OF PLAY: You should register your player for the level you hope they play in Spring 2024. Example: If a player played in the Minors Division in the previous spring season and they are aging up to Majors in the next spring season, they should register for Majors in the fall.
- NO RESIDENCE VERIFICATION REQUIRED: Unlike in the spring, there are no residential boundary restrictions on who can play. This does apply in the spring, so please keep that in mind if you plan to have your child play then. If you reside outside of our league boundaries, your child will not be eligible to play with us in the 2024 Spring season. There is an exemption to this rule if your child attends school within our boundaries.
- VOLUNTEER ROLES: Please indicate your interest to be a Head Coach, Assistant Coach or Team Parent during the registration step. Please see the Volunteer Information Document for details on the tasks under each role.
- VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECK: Any parent who serves as a Head Coach, Assistant Coach or Team Parent must complete a background check. NOTE: If you completed a background check for our league in the 2023 Spring season, you are NOT required to re-submit for the fall.
4) Once you’ve entered all your players’ information, you can check out, enter your credit card info and complete your registration, at which point you will receive a confirmation email.
Again, we are still transitioning to this new Sports Connect platform, so some things may look a little off or incomplete, but you should be able to go through the registration process through your mobile phone, tablet or computer.
