PONY Age Change- Division Choice Deadline 12/1/22

Following-up from our earlier communication about the age change.

A child with a birthday from May 1 to August 31 has the choice this year to play up in the next division, or play down in the same division for another season. We will honor whatever choice the parent makes. This is a one-year accommodation from PONY and will not apply after the 2023 season. If a child moves up, they are not guaranteed to move up again in two years but may be in the same division for three seasons.

Players with a birthday between May 1 and August 31 - Division choice must be made by 12/1/22.
Please send your division choice in one email to both the existing and upper division directors to avoid any confusion.

Children whose birthdays are between September 1 and April 30 are placed into the division appropriate for their age.

If a parent wants a child with a birthday between September 1 and April 30 to play up from their appropriate division, they will be considered after assessments at the higher division, and it requires board of directors approval. However, those players playing up will not be allowed to do so if the higher division is full and their registration prevents an age appropriate player from registering.
