2025 Registration Opens on May 1st, 2025

2025-Horseheads Youth Football

Horseheads Youth Football and Cheer offers a football program for grades 1-6 and a cheer program for grades K-6. We are part of the Southern Tier Youth Football Conference, which includes 21 teams spanning from Norwich, NY, in the east to Corning, NY, in the west. Horseheads fields one team per division within the conference.

Important Information Before Registering

Season Dates: Practices start August 4, 2025, and the season runs through early November.

Equipment Handouts: For 3rd/4th Grade Tackle and 5th/6th Grade Tackle Football teams, equipment distribution will take place before the season starts. Details (date, time, and location) will be communicated via email and/or GameChanger.

Flag Football & Cheer: Teams will meet for the first time during the opening week of practice, beginning August 4th.

Fundraising Requirement: Each participant must participate in one fundraiser per season (Wilson Beefsticks – minimum 5 bags per player). If you choose not to sell, you can opt to contribute the equivalent fundraising proceeds of $40.

Attendance Policy:

Consistent attendance at all practices and games is essential. Exceptions may be made for illness or other approved reasons. If your child misses more practices than the limit communicated by the coach, they may become ineligible to participate in the next game. Continued absences could result in additional action. Our organization values participation, and if a child is unable to commit, we may offer the spot to another child on the waiting list.
