Passion has teams from 8u to 18u.

Season will run from September 2025 thru July/August 2026.

PRACTICES

All the below are general guidelines for Passion teams. It is expected that each individual Passion

team will establish their own specific goals and expectations as determined the by the head coach

and communicated to all parents. To achieve these goals, each Passion team will determine their

own specific schedule of practices, use of outside instructors, scrimmages, conditioning sessions,

off the field team bonding events, and the tournament schedule.

Fall team practices will be held twice a week in September and once a week in October. Indoor

practices & workouts will occur every Saturday/Sunday throughout the winter months of November through March.

April thru July will be a practice and weekend tournaments or two practices a week.

Passion Softball Mission Statement

Passion Softball was established in 2011 to provide each

player, coach, parent, and family a positive, challenging, and rewarding softball

environment. Our focus is on the overall development of our players and to prepare them

for life on and off the field. We are devoted to promoting proper softball techniques,

teamwork, social skills, education, community awareness, confidence, accountability, and

discipline. Passion Softball competes in some of the most prestigious tournaments in the

tri-state area.

Our Board of Directors and Staff pride themselves on family values. We do not expect your

daughter's whole summer to be spent on the softball field. We encourage our players to

participate in other sports. We expect the girls to be good athletes, not just good softball

players. Passion Softball is committed to creating a positive culture, in which coaches,

parents, fans, officials, and athletes work together to achieve our mission.

Passion Softball Objective

Our objective will be to develop the fundamentals that are necessary to play fastpitch softball at

its most competitive level. It is our intention to structure this Passion team so that each player

becomes a vital and contributing member. Through the course of team practices, each player will

likely be assigned a primary position and a secondary position. These determinations will be made

based on each player’s strengths and how each player’s skill sets can make us most competitive

as a team. Consideration will also be given to each player’s position preferences in making these

assignments. There will be occasions when players on this team will be called upon to sit out a

few innings, and possibly, an entire game as situations dictate. Every attempt will be made to

optimize each player’s playing time without diminishing our team’s ability to be successful. Playing

time decisions are based on many factors including: the player’s ability, team needs, strategies,

and attitude. Decisions will be made solely by the coaches/manager.
