TRYOUTS- Player Assessments
Tryouts will be on Saturday February 24th at Meredith Middle School– (4827 Madison Ave.) Enter parking lot from 47th street. Park in the lot on the East side. Enter at east facing door closest to parking lot. Tryouts will be in the Gym
We are having tryouts for Intermediate, Triple A, and Pee Wee division (that’s ages 13 to 7 baseball).
There is no tryouts for Softball and Seniors, Juniors, Tee Wee and Rookie baseball. Players are placed on team by league rep and mangers for these divisions
Tryouts consist of:
- Catching fly balls and ground balls
- Batting
- Running
Players should bring a baseball glove and DRY pair of athletic shoes. Your bat is optional.
Time slots
8:30am Pee Wee Division- League age 7’s and age 8’s (DOB Sept 2015 to Aug 2017)
9:45am Triple A Division- League age 9’s and age 10’s (DOB Sept 2013 to Aug 2015)
11:00am Intermediate Division - League age 11’s, age 12's, and age 13's (DOB Sept 2010 to Aug 2013)
PLEASE READ IF YOU CAN NOT MAKE IT TO TRYOUTS
Tryouts are no mandatory, but highly recommended to help coaches in each division to have a successful draft. If you can not attend your tryout date/time; you will still be placed on a team. Instead of being drafted, the players not at tryouts will be randomly placed on a team. If you are unable to attend the tryouts but want to be eligible to be drafted you MUST email [email protected] PRIOR TO TRYOUTS with player’s name, and reason for the absence.
Players assessments (tryouts) measure skills, and simply assist manager in selecting teams that ensure talent is spread evenly across each division. As a board our objective is to create as much parity as possible.
