Carlynton Little Cougars Youth Football and Cheerleading Association caters to the youth of the Carnegie & Crafton areas for over 60 years, which combine to create the Carlynton School District. In 2020 CLC joined the Western Pennsylvania Youth Football League.

The WPYFL is the largest youth football league in Pennsylvania currently consisting of 44 member organizations, 138 teams that represent 43 different school districts in seven Southwestern Pennsylvania counties covering 3,061 square miles.

Every coach in the WPYFL is required to complete the annual USA Football Tackle Football Certification/Re-Certification course before being permitted on the field.  This course not only covers the X’s and O’s of football but also covers concussions, heat awareness and all major components of a safer, more prepared youth football organization. In addition to earning coaching certification, each team must have at least one coach that is certified for child CPR. Through the WPYFL, each coach receives USA Football’s online coaching tools to better teach your child.

The WPYFL has three divisions of play. All divisions play tackle football on a regulation football field. The divisions are:

Division III (Kindergarten - 2nd Grade) 
DIVISION II (3rd & 4th Grade)
DIVISION I (5th & 6th Grade)
