The Carbondale Jr. Chargers organization provides the youth of the Greater Carbondale Area the opportunity to participate in youth football and cheerleading.  Our program is open from children from ages 5 - 13.  

The Carbondale Jr. Chargers organization, which was previously known as the Carbondale Unicans, Carbondale Lions and Carbondale Blitz during the last 55+years, was an original (charter) member of the NAJFL, which was formed in the early 1980’s.

Our organization's goal is to to make a safe, fun, learning and nurturing experience for its players and cheerleaders. Our program strives to build a lifetime of positive memories for our participants.

The Jr. Chargers are a member of the All County Conference Junior Football Conference (ACCJFL).
