Registration for East Hampton Little League Baseball & Softball is now open until February 12th, 2024. The late registration fee is $50 per family. Our hope is to have everyone register on time this year. Please forward this email to anyone that may be new to EHLL (5 year old players, someone who didn’t play last year, or recently moved to East Hampton.)

The registration fee for each program is:

Tee Ball Clinics- $50 (League Age 5) (Saturdays only, all parents will be expected to participate.)

Tee Ball- $100 (must be league age 6)

Farm B Baseball $125

Farm A Baseball $125

Farm Softball $125

Minors Baseball & Softball - $150

Majors Baseball & Softball - $150

If you have more than one player there is a family cap fee of $300.

** New this year for minors baseball and minors softball: we will be having paid umpires for minors AND majors baseball and softball this year (previously only in majors) **

You will be asked if you would like to make a donation to East Hampton Little League as part of registration. We are a private, non-profit organization that gets no assistance from anyone except its members. We greatly appreciate any donation to help us keep our complex the best in the district.

TRAVEL TEAM DILEMMA

If your child may be playing on a travel baseball or softball team and you are unsure whether to register them for EHLL, it is BEST to register your child by February 12.This ensures that they have a place on a team. It also prevents you from having to pay a late fee. Please include this information in the comments section when you are registering.

We do allow players to participate in our local league as well as a travel league, but we expect that pitch counts / length of play rules will be followed.

IF YOUR PLAYER IS NOT REGISTERED BY FEBRUARY 12 AND THEY ARE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY MAJORS,THEY MAY BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST.

AGE DETERMINATION-

Age determination for Baseball and Softball are slightly different. Please understand that Little League USA sets the age determination and it is flexible. Each town designates certain ages depending on what programs are available. If you go to the Little League USA website to look up a players age, it may say they are eligible to play Majors baseball (if they are 9). East Hampton Little League then can decide to allow 9 year olds to play minors and not play majors. These decisions are made by the EHLL Board of Directors. East Hampton Little League’s age determination rules are within the guidelines of Little League USA.

FORMS:

MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS-Little League requires all players to have an updated physical copy of the medical release form on file. Unfortunately, this means they cannot be hosted virtually. Please bring these forms to the first practice, as sending them with your payment may result in a delay marking off that you have completed them. NO EXCEPTIONS!

BIRTH CERTIFICATIONS-If you are new to EHLL or did not hand in a birth certificate for your child last year, a copy of the player’s birth certificate must be submitted prior to the first practice.Any new all star players will need to submit an official birth certificate (not a copy) to the district administrator with all other paperwork, as the process has changed this year.

PROOF OF ADDRESS-If you are new to EHLL or did not hand in all of your forms last year,you will be expected to provide proof of address- a driver’s license, tax form and recent bill are 3 acceptable forms that must be shown to a board member.http://www.littleleague.org/assets/forms_pubs/Residence-Eligibility.pdf

** Please SKIP the proof of registration and school enrollment and address verification in the registration system. We will collect proof of address through a piece of mail, etc., as done in the past. **

VOLUNTEERS- If you are planning to manage, coach, umpire or be a team parent this season you must register in the system. Once chosen, you will be sent a link to an online system for filling out the information required for the background check.

CONCESSION STAND OPT OUT:

We have decided to continue with the opt-out Concession Stand Fee. The fee for the opt-out is $250. This opt-out fee does not apply toward the $300 family cap. As a board we felt it was necessary to provide this as an option for those families who absolutely refuse to volunteer during the Little League season. This was a board decision. If you are not planning to volunteer as a coach/umpire or team parent this upcoming season, we ask that you spend a morning and / or afternoon in the concession stand. (The amount of time will depend on how many families choose to opt out of the concession stand duty.)
