All athletes wanting to participate in Jefferson County Jets Track Club need to register with AAU and USATF prior to registering with Jets. 

Follow the instructions to register for Jets:

  1. Create an AAU account and purchase AAU Membership
  2. Create an USATF account and purchase USATF Membership
  3. Create a Sports Connect Account
  4. Add your athlete(s) to your Account
  5. Register your athletes for the season entering the required AAU and USATF number

OVERVIEW
Our club has been in existence for over 40 years and has had great success. There are no athletic requirements to join the Jets just a strong work ethic and super listening skills. Athletes can practice and compete in any event that they choose, but we will be happy to give them guidance as to their strengths. Athletes choose the practices and track meets they would like to attend. There may not always be a coach at the Elementary aged track meets as the coaches generally have children competing in high school and college track; however, they will provide guidance and meet registration.

COST
Jets is a very affordable program and allows athletes/parents to determine the level and cost incurred. Below are some general guidelines for potential costs when participating in Jets:
$150 Annual Registration ($75 for athletes 3-6 y/o)
$20 AAU Membership
$30 USATF Membership
$100 AAU Meet cost ($20/meet for registration x ~5 meets Athletes/parent will decide how many meets to participate in)
$100 shoes or equipment as needed

Discounts are applied for multiple family members and returning Jets athletes

REQURIED MEMBERSHIP
  • Before the first practice you must obtain an AAU and USATF card to participate. This must be separately from registration. The links are below.
  • Purchase AAU Membership (Use Team Number RS4F76D4). This provides insurance to the facility, athlete, and organization as well as membership eligibility for meets. The AAU Membership year runs from September 1 to August 31.
  • Purchase USATF Membership. This provides membership eligibility for meets. The USATF membership year runs from January 1 to December 31

EQUIPMENT
Included in your registration fees are a Jets T-shirt, a full uniform top and bottom, practice and coaching.

WHAT TO EXPECT/SCHEDULES
Indoor Season: Nov-Feb
Outdoor Season: March-August
Practices
Practice times will be specific to events and ages and will be posted through the scheduler and/or texted directly
Meets
Athletes/Parents can choose the practices and track meets they would like to attend. Meet location and times are posted on AAU and other websites. Registrations fees will be required for each individual meet.
