Age Structure

Since Children’s bodies, legs, etc… are smaller than adults the field should be too. The average adult step = 2.5 – 3.5 feet whereas the average child step is 1.5 (age 6) - 2 feet (age 14). Appropriate field space and space maintains a proper work rate for younger players. The guidelines for field size is based on age.


Under 6’s play 3v3 (without a goalkeeper)
Field Size: 30 yds x 25 yds
