The coaching staff has a proven track record for developing players and follows the principles and curriculum developed by the United States Soccer Federation and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Coaches continue their personal education by attending courses offered by both organizations and by continually studying soccer periodicals and watching the game.
Individual player development comes at different times for different age groups. All players will be registered with their appropriate age groups and will be placed in the proper playing age group and training environment based on ability, develoment and maturity. Not every player will be moved to a higher age group just because a player or parent believes they need to be challenged. Players need to be consistent with their attendance at practice/trainings and games, as well as consistently dominate play at their current age group before coaches will consider moving a player up an age group for a more challenging training environment.
In order to progress as a player it is expected that Foundation Soccer Club North training and matches take precedent over local travel/town training and matches. It is also important that during the soccer seasons Foundation Soccer Club North trainings and matches take priority over other sports. Simply stated, if there is a conflict with training or match times, the player and parents priority is Foundation Soccer Club North. It is very important that young players are immersed in an atmosphere and culture that provides accurate information, a safe, controlled environment that fosters creativity and reinforces technically and tactically sound principles.
