2024-2025 Town Select League (TSL)

The Town Select League of Massachusetts Youth Soccer works in cooperation with our town soccer programs to provide playing opportunities in a league that focuses on learning from licensed coaches, player development, joy of the game and the select competition. Teams are formed from 4-8 town groups, which provide select competition and limited travel to and from the practice field. The coaches are properly licensed and uphold the mission statement and values of the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association.

The Town Select League (TSL) is currently offered to boys and girls born in 2011-2016 and who reside in and around the Essex, BAYS, Middlesex, MAYS, and NVYSL (Nashoba Valley) areas. The tryout venue does not determine where a player will be rostered. If a player makes a team, he/she will be rostered in the closest proximity to their residence. Our tryout locations are selected as a central point for the regions we service.

Program Note: If you need to change the date or venue you chose for your child to tryout, PLEASE DO NOT CREATE ANOTHER ACCOUNT TO CHANGE THIS. Once you register, your child will be included in all of the tryout sheets at all locations.

Players eligible for a roster spot within the TSL : 1. Must play for their town team, 2. Need to attend at least 1 tryout. 3. Cannot play for a club team that plays in an independent league. 4. Must commit to the fall and spring season. Not everyone makes a team as these are select rosters.

NOTE: If your child was born in 2011 or 2012, your choice will be to register for the 13/14U Division, which is CORRECT. In the TSL , we roster by birth year and ALL of our 13/14U teams play 11 v 11 and are a combination of 2011's and 2012's . In the TSL and across the national landscape, 2011's are true 14U players and 2012's are true 13U players playing 11 v 11 for the 2024-2025 playing year which commences in August. Your towns may still roster by grade age however the TSL follows the US Soccer age recommendations of birth year rostering. If there is enough talent to have a separate 13U and 14U division we will do so.

The TSL is NOT TO BE CONFUSED with the Summer District Program . The TSL is a year round program with a fall and spring season, while the District program is held only in the summer ( July-August). TSL is a different program entirely than Districts.
