Program Age General Information
 Ages 13U-19U 
Click HERE for age groups by birth month/year		The Southeastern Clubs Champions League is a league comprising mostly of teams in the metro Atlanta area. The league, of which SSA is a founding member, was formed in 2018 by clubs searching for a better way to offer youth soccer programming for the serious soccer player.  Each age group and gender offers multiple divisions of play and incorporates a promotion/relegation system at the 13U and older ages.

SSA teams are coached by licensed staff coaches, rather than volunteer parents, and the program requires a greater time and financial commitment than our Recreational program.

In the 13U and 14U age groups, the Fall season starts around early August with pre-season practices and tournaments, while regular-season games begin early September going through mid-November. The season finishes usually in late November/early December depending on post-season tournament attendance. Teams will have two practices per week, with one or possible two games at the weekend depending on the league schedule.

The mid-year winter break ends in early February with Spring pre-season practices and tournaments. The regular season starts in early March, going through Mid May and ending in late May with post-season tournament attendance.

The 15U-19U age groups play a Fall-only season to allow for player participation in Spring High School programs.

Click HERE for age groups by birth month/year		The SSA Academy Program is for players looking for a high-quality training and playing environment under the supervision of experienced and licenced staff where an enthusiasm for, and a commitment to, the game is nurtured and rewarded. Players typically go through a 'tryout' assessment in late May for the entire year or in Dec or Jan for just the Spring season, though players may join at other times of the year if space is available.

The program is generally regarded as the starting point for players interested in moving into our SCCL program and playing HS and College soccer in the future. At the 12U age group, players are eligible to tryout for a clubwide 'Elite' team which participates in a 12U version of the SCCL League. 

Season dates and practice/game schedules mirror the 13U and 14U SCCL seasons, with a short winter break between the Fall and Spring seasons.
