Club Members,
We’re holding an All Club Meeting on July 10th at 10am, the google meet link is https://meet.google.com/bcn-fqpw-efj
There are four main reasons for this: to vote in new board members, to officially approve club bylaws, to provide space for member questions and ideas, and to provide a general update for the club membership.
New Board Members Needed: I'm stepping down as club president. I have served my time and welcome new club leadership with new energy. Three other board members started their positions 2 years ago, have served their time and are not choosing to start another term. So we need volunteers for club president, club representative (basically VP), secretary and treasurer. Our registrar, Heather Hindle, is staying on. The following people have volunteered for these positions: Joey Plude club president, Zane Barber club representative, Jennifer Wilkins treasurer and Lisa Larson secretary. Board positions are open to any member. Please let me know if you would like to run for any position. We will vote if more than one person volunteers for the same position.
Club Bylaws: East Haddam Soccer Club has been running since 1995 with no written bylaws. Although we have an array of rules we must follow related to our memberships in CJSA and SECJSA, it’s important we have our own bylaws. In order to become official, bylaws are required to have a comment period available to all members and to be voted on by the full membership. The draft of bylaws is attached. We are thankful to Alexis Vitali, who did the heavy lifting on drafting bylaws. Send any suggestions for changes to club representative, Chris Skuby, [email protected] .
