For over 50 years, Shorthorn (Carlsbad) has competed in New Mexico Little League District 6, winning the district 30 of those years.  Additionally, Shorthorn went on to win the New Mexico State Title six of those times.  Developing young talent into successful teams, and ultimately successful young adults, is a focus of the league.
