Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What equipment do I need for youth lacrosse?

Girls lacrosse Stick, protective goggles or helmet, colored mouth guard (mouthpieces must be colored in order to be visible by a referee/coach.) For first timers, we recommend the beginners lacrosse set available at Dick’s. It includes a beginners stick, a bag and the protective goggles. Dick’s also carries a variety of mouth pieces including ones that will protect kids with braces.

Goaltenders must wear a helmet with face mask, gloves, mouth guard, chest and throat protection. Youth goalies are also required to wear pelvic and abdominal padding.

Goalie equipment is provided by the association; however, players can also bring their own provided they follow the guidelines of US Lacrosse.
