Apopka Tackle Football 2026

Hello and welcome to the Apopka Pop Warner 2026 season!
We are excited to kick off a new season and proudly welcome both our returning families and those new to the Darter family. We’re looking forward to a fun, successful, and rewarding year for our athletes and families.
Registration Costs
The registration cost for the 2026 tackle football season is $350.
Early Bird Price is $300, must be fully registered and paid by 3/7/26 at 5pm.
This fee includes:
• Two personalized jerseys (one home and one away) for your athlete to keep after the season
• Equipment rental for the season, including a helmet and shoulder pads
All rented equipment must be returned within seven (7) business days following your final game of the season. Failure to return equipment may result in a fine of up to $500.
Payment Information
• A $150 non-refundable Fee is required to hold your child’s roster spot and begin the registration process
• Full payment must be received no later than May 1, 2026
• No refunds will be issued after May 1, 2026
Code of Conduct & Safety Policy
Apopka Pop Warner is a family-friendly youth sports organization. We are committed to providing a safe, positive, and respectful environment for all participants.
There will be zero tolerance for violence, vulgar language, or disrespect toward volunteers, athletes, parents, or staff.
All Pop Warner events — including practices, games, and competitions — are weapon-free zones. Weapons of any kind (including knives and firearms), as well as smoking, drinking, or illegal substances, are strictly prohibited.
Registration Requirements
To complete registration, you will need to upload:
• A clear photo of your child’s birth certificate
• A passport-style photo of your child (solid background, no hats, no glasses)
Once registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email. Team communication will be sent via email and through the GroupMe app, where families will be added by team.

By continuing the registration process, you acknowledge and agree to all policies and information outlined above.

 2026 Apopka Blue Darter Cheer – FAQ

Welcome Lady Darters!

Welcome to the Lady Darters Family! We are excited to have you join us for the 2026 Pop Warner Season. Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions to help you prepare for an exciting and successful season.

The Lady Darters proudly represent Apopka Blue Darters and compete through Pop Warner Little Scholars in the Mid Florida Pop Warner conference.


📅 When does the season officially begin?

Conditioning begins July 15, 2026

We strongly encourage all cheerleaders to attend the first two weeks of practice. During this time, we will:
• Review basic cheer motions and technique
• Practice jumps
• Begin stunt exposure
• Build team chemistry and bonding

This foundation is essential for a strong and successful season.


📣 What is the focus of the Lady Darters program?

Our primary focus is to provide an enjoyable and rewarding experience for our cheerleaders. We emphasize:
• Teamwork
• Sportsmanship
• Confidence
• Discipline
• Personal growth

And yes — we love to win! 🏆

Our goal each season is to perform our very best and place at the Mid Florida Competition. We are proud multi-year National Champions — you can view our accolades on our Facebook page.


🏈 What is the regular season schedule?

Practices:
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
• 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Cheerleaders must:
• Arrive on time
• Bring water
• Be ready to practice

Game Days:
• Saturdays
• Times provided by your Team Mom once schedules are released

The regular season lasts approximately 8 weeks and includes both home and away games.

Attendance is required at all games.
If your child must miss, please communicate with your coaches. Multiple missed practices or games may impact competition eligibility based on MidFlorida guidelines.


🏆 What happens during Post Season?

If our football team advances, post-season games typically begin the 3rd or 4th weekend in October.

Cheerleaders must attend all post-season games unless they conflict with competition dates.

Possible travel may include:
• MidFlorida Championship (end of October)
• Regionals (November)
• Nationals (beginning of December)

Travel distance may increase depending on advancement.


✨ What is Competition Season?

Competition is one of the most exciting parts of cheer season!
• Competitions begin in October
• Season runs through mid-December
• MidFlorida Competition (end of October) is the only guaranteed competition for sideline-only participants

For competitive teams:
• Advancement to Regionals depends on placement at MidFlorida
• Southeast Regionals occur Thanksgiving week
• Nationals are held in Charlotte, North Carolina in early December

Nationals requires additional fees and travel.


🎀 What is included in the Spirit Pack?

All cheerleaders must purchase a Spirit Pack in addition to registration.

New Cheerleaders – $450

Includes:
• Game Day uniform & bow
• Competition uniform & bow
• Warm-ups
• Backpack
• Practice wear

Returning 2025 Cheerleaders – $240

Includes:
• Game Day uniform & bow
• Competition uniform & bow
• Practice wear

Cheer shoes must be purchased separately.

Optional/additional squad items may include:
• Bag tags
• Sunglasses
• Pink socks or bows (Breast Cancer Awareness in October)


💵 What are the 2026 Season Costs?

Registration:
• $175 Total
• $150 Non-refundable deposit

Spirit Package:
• New Cheerleader: $500
• Returning 2025 Cheerleader: $240

National Competition Fee:
• $600
• Payment plan available
• Covers cheerleader credentials and hotel stay in Charlotte

Again, there will be costs that arise throughout the season so fundraising is strongly encouraged.


💰 Will there be fundraising?

Yes!

We will offer various fundraising opportunities to help offset costs. While participation is not mandatory, we strongly encourage everyone to participate to promote equal access and opportunity for all families.
