WBYA 2024-2025 Rec Basketball

Washington Borough Youth Association basketball program runs mid-November to March.

Teams are divided by grade

K to 2nd grade | Co-ed Little Hoopsters (see below)

3-4th grade boys | 3-4th grade girls

5-6th grade boys | 5-6th grade girls

7-8th grade boys | 7-8th grade girls

All teams are coached by parent volunteers

Teams start practicing in November. Teams will have 2 to 3 practices a week at either at Memorial or Taylor Street schools. Practice days and time vary.

Teams play in a league comprised of the five sending district schools of Warren Hills High School:

Franklin, Mansfield, Oxford, Washington Borough, and Washington Twp.

During the holiday break teams may have an opportunity to play in a scrimmage at the Franklin Gym

Games will start after the first of the year. Each team will play approximately 10 regular season games and will play in an end of the season playoff – (1) game elimination

Season usually ends late February – early March. If schools are closed for inclement weather on game day, the game will be rescheduled.
