The Pateadores G18 (formerly known as Los Gauchos SC) never gave up and ended up with the Championship in the pateadores HB Classic. Little did they know that the first game they played would look a lot like the Championship game. Pateadores tied the Stars 1-1 on Saturday morning.
After beating two other team 9-0 and 2-0 they faced the Stars once again in the Championship game. It was a very even match which ended in a tie once again after regulation time. The shoot out was also very evenly matched but the Pateadores were able to come away with the win after the 6th shooter.
Coach Martin Maguire was very happy with the level of competition that the Stars gave his team to prepare for their upcoming Showcase in Pleasanton as well as in preparation for the upcoming fall season
