(Huntington Beach, CA.) The Pateadores BU12 and BU13 are champions of the prestigious 30th annual NHB Cup. Both teams defeated the finest opponents that San Diego has to offer. The BU12 played a near-perfect game to beat San Diego Surf 4-1, while the BU13 edged Nomads White 3-2 in a game played with an intensity to match its scoreline.
Head Coach Mario Gonzalez and Asst. Coach Gus Gomez had both U12 and U13 teams well-prepared, both tactically and technically to meet the grueling challenge that is the NHB Cup. "Hard work, discipline and commitment -- it's what I believe gets the job done. Players are the ones who put in the work and should be given full credit," Gonzalez said.
