Coach Cruz coaches the 2016/17 Pateadores LA 2003 White and Pateadores LA 1998 teams.
Cruz Hernandez is the Head Coach of the Alemany High School Soccer Program. He is also a “1979 Alemany Alumni”.

- In 1976 Cruz traveled to England & Scotland and was offered a professional contract “with Everton F. C”

- In 1981 was nominated a National Player and participated in the 1981 National Sport Festival in Syracuse, New York.
- In 1981 was selected to participate in the 1984 Olympics.
- In 1981 received a Professional contract with The Portland Timbers.
- He is a “Legacy Runner” of Los Angeles Marathon. I have run more than 40 marathons including all 25 of the Los Angeles Marathon, since 1986.
- He has 34 years of coaching experience.
- He is a technical, tactical & an individual skills coach.
- He has coached many levels of soccer (boys & girls all ages) such as: CLUB, AYSO, CITY LEAGUES, MIDDLE SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL & COLLEGE.
- He is also a goalie trainer.
As a player Coach Cruz had the opportunity to play and be coached by great professional coaches from Los Angeles Aztecs, Dallas Tornados, San Diego Sockers, Portland Timbers and Los Angeles Lazers. Also he had the opportunity to meet “PELE” and play with great players like George Best from England, Johan Cruyff from Holland, Hugo Sanchez from Mexico and many more.
