AC Cugini's Award Winning Play Soccer in Italy Program

In 2001, AC Cugini developed an international athletic and educational program, Play Soccer in Italy, to further expose American players to Italian player development; allow players the opportunity to add international playing and training experience to their soccer background; offer the most talented players access to Italian talent scouts, and have American youth and their families experience the countless wonders of the Italian culture and history. This highly successful program was an important element of the special recognition  AC Cugini received in 2004 from the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). In 2012, the Italian National Olympic Committee - Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Italiano (CONI)  appointed AC Cugini President Fabio Diletti as international representative of the newly created CONI Servizi division. This rare distinction allows AC Cugini to bring its youth athletes (as well as athletes in other sports) to train and stay at the Italian Olympic Athletes Training Center in Rome. As before, all Cugini members will have the opportunity to participate in exceptional international programming in Italy including tournament play against Italian teams.

Customized Programs in Italy Year Round!

Because of AC Cugini's long history of working with soccer organizations in Italy and our staff's ability to communicate fluently in Italian, we have developed many high-level contacts in Italy which allows us the unique opportunity to create one-of-a-kind programs in Italy for American  youth players and coaches. We do not take players to the commonly known international tournaments in Italy offered by numerous tour operators where  a U.S. team could end up playing against  U.S. or Canadian teams.  Our focus has always been to create a unique experience where American youth play against Italian teams or train with Italian clubs or the Italian National Olympic Committee staff.  This also allows our participants the chance to be reviewed closely by talent scouts from professional Italian clubs. We also offer translation and negotiation services to any player selected by an Italian club. In 2009, an AC Cugini player on the Play Soccer in Italy program was selected to play for professional club FC Esperia Viareggio and later moved to Italy for high school and to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity.
