| MSO Kickers - Wednesday, August 13, 2008 MSO Kickers, formally the Cougar Kickers, is supervised by the Cougar Soccer Club. Cougar SC is a member of the Northern Counties Soccer Association. The Club 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is open to residents of Maplewood and South Orange.
MSO Kickers was formed in 2002 to provide an introduction of soccer to K-2nd graders. The focus is on fun and skills.
The Cougar Soccer Club has provided the local community with a travel youth soccer program for over 42 years. As a self-funded, charitable, not-for-profit organization of parent volunteers, the club promotes youth soccer that is geared for the player who wants to learn, train and play at the very highest levels of competition. Since 1965, well over 10,000 children have played in our Club. Hundreds of parents have volunteered during this same period. Our priority is to provide a healthy atmosphere for each child’s physical and social development.
Today we have well over 300 kids in the MSO Kickers program participating in the fall, winter (indoor) and spring seasons. The club continues to grow as more kids join the program to support their social and physical development.
With the enormous growth of soccer in our state, both CSC and MSO Kickers continue to maintain our goal of providing an environment in which talented and committed soccer players can achieve their full potential and compete at the highest levels.
