........the boys looked tired after a 2 hour trip for Hialeah and the condition of the fields did not help at all, we played three games in sand piles, that will be the best way to describe the condition of the fields.
We could not find our passing game and our front line could not find the net, in the first game against Sunrise we missed 5 clear opportunities in goal and when that happens any coach knows it spells trouble. Sunrise was able to score 2 goals on us one out of a corner kick and the other out of a bouncing ball that the defense failed to clear, the boys could not recover from that.
Game two was a very good game against Kendall White a team that 2 weeks ago we beat at Disney but this time around we will walk away with a tied game at zero goals, at this point in time we knew we were out of the first round and the emotions were a bit low. The boys came out to play Wellington White and manage to score an early goal when Kevin Ceren took on two defenders and produced a nice and powerful shot from 18 yards out that their keeper could not stop. Wellington managed to tie the game shortly after that in a similar play and then in the second half scored the winning goal.
We played poorly and did not do our job, however as a team we know what the problems are and how to solve them. Our next step will be the US Club Florida Cup and BYSL.
A special Thank you to our Goal Keeper Tyler Hogan as he decided to miss his ODP practice to come play the first game after a very unexpected move by a parent that left the team with no back up Goal Keeper. Thank you TJ and parents for your commitment.
