Springfield SC at National Championships!!

For the first time in Springfield SC history we have a team that is headed to the US Youth Soccer National Championships!! This is a fantastic achievement for the entire club. Everyone associated with the Springfield SC should be very proud of the u18 boys for making this step and setting the bar and expectation level for all to aspire to.

The u18 boys won their second State Championship in June (here in Springfield), and then when on to the Midwest Regionals in Des Moines, IA and won the club's first ever US Youth Soccer Regional Championship earning the trip to Nationals. The National Championships will be held at the Overland Park Soccer Complex just up the road from here.

It would definitely be a great thing to have support for the boys as they take on the countries top teams. This is uncharted territory, but something the boys have been working towards for a very long time. To think, a team from a city of 150,000, metro of 500,000, is competing against teams from cities that have as many soccer players as we do people is amazing.

We are very proud of everyone, and are looking forward to a very good week. You make us so proud!
