Registration:

Online Registration:
Online registration begins March 15, 2017 and ends on April 30, 2017.  Please log into your CDAA account to begin registration.

Walk-up Registration:

Jerry Ruppelius Park located at 10951 Elm Creek Parkway. 
Saturday, April 8th, 2017 from 10 am - noon.

Registration Notes:
Child MUST be 4 years old by May 31, 2017, No exceptions.
When registering, please sign up for the grade level your child is in today (2016 / 2017 school year)!
Late registrations will be accepted until May 15, 2017  as long as there is availability and teams have NOT been formed.  
There will be a $25.00 charge for late registration.  
We will not be able to honor any requests with late registrations. 
Due to field availability we have a cap on the number of participants for each grade level. Once full, there will be a waiting list. REGISTER EARLY TO ENSURE YOUR CHILD A SPOT!

**Player Requests:**
Please select only one person to play with and make sure that person requests your child.  Only those who have listed each other are guaranteed to be on the same team.  You may not request to be on a specific coach's team. 

 

Weather: 

If play is canceled due to weather, the Soccer Directors will send out an email message to all head coaches as well as post it on the CDAA website by 5:30 pm.  Cancellations include both early and late games and WILL NOT be rescheduled for later in the season, unless noted.  Coaches are responsible for notifying team members.  The website that we will use is www.weather.com.                

  • Games are cancelled across the board if the heat index is 100 degrees or higher at 5:30 PM
  • If the temperature is above 90 degrees, coaches and referees can establish quarters at the beginning of the game.
  • Rain outs will be determined by 5:30 PM.  
  • Lightning—All games will cease at the sight of lightning.  For Pre-K through 3rd grade the game will be called immediately.  For 4th grade and up, the game will break for 15 minutes after which it will be determined if game will resume or be canceled.      


Season Timeline:

March 15-April 30: Online registration open.

June: Practices should start in the second half of June.  Practices are scheduled by the coaches, and they will be contacting you following the assignment of teams.

July 10th: Season begins!

August 5th: 
End of season jamboree with Ice Cream and awards following the last game for Pre-K to 3rd grade.

August 11th - 13th: End of season tournament for 4th-12th grades with Ice Cream and awards after your teams final game.

Fees:

Fees include such things as uniforms, socks, trophies, ice cream, referee and city user fees.

Residents of Champlin or Dayton:
Pre-K to 3rd Grade: $80.00  
4th and 5th Grades: $85.00 

6th - 12th Grades: $90.00 

 Non-Residents:
A $25.00 Non-Resident fee will be added to the above cost. 



Coaches:

We are always in need of coach volunteers.  Please consider volunteering!  The program is run purely on volunteers and would not be successful without you. You can volunteer at the same time you register your child or you can always go back into the registration and volunteer at anytime!

The coaches meeting will be  Monday, June 5, 2017 at JRAC (Jerry Ruppelius Athletic Complex) 10951 Elm Creek Trail North, Champlin, MN 55316.  Any interested coach may attend.  We will be handing out coach folders and equipment bags.  We will have a meeting from 6:00 - 7:00 for Pre-K through 3rd grade coaches and another meeting from 7:00 - 8:00 for 4th through 12th grade coaches. 

*Please remember to bring $50.00 for deposit on equipment bag. Checks will not be cashed unless bags are not returned or equipment is missing at the end of the season.

*All coaches must complete a background check and concussion training.  The links to these forms are on the CDAA home page.


Referees:

We will be having our Referee Meeting at 5:30 PM on Sunday June 18, 2017 at the Jerry Ruppelius Athletic Complex (JRAC).  Any interested Referee may attend.  Please bring proof of your 2017 referee certification and your schedule/availability for the season.  The meeting should last approximately 30-45 minutes. Please note that CDAA Soccer Referees are Seasonal employees and we will ensure that we have enough referees and enough games for each referee per week.

Anyone interested in becoming a soccer referee for the CDAA must have a grade 9 certification and be 14 years old by July 1st, 2016. If you are interested in becoming a referee you will need to be certified. For certification information please go to the Minnesota State Referee Committee website.

Nights of Play:

All scheduled game dates and times are tentative, depending upon the number of registered participants in each age group, as well as field availability. Game times are 6:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Some of the 6th – 12th grade games may be played at 8:45 p.m.

From 169 go west on Elm Creek Pkwy and follow to the 4 way stop, which is Goose Lake Pkwy.  Take a right and go 1/5th mile and the park will be on the right (North) side.
