Process for Moving Established Teams to AC Cugini
As a growing organization, AC Cugini has open spots for entire teams in WAGS, NCSL, and ODSL each season—from age 8 through 18—which the club plans to fill. AC Cugini welcomes coaches and parents from outside the club who have interest in forming new teams or bringing their current team to Cugini.
Teams from outside AC Cugini have the option of joining AC Cugini's established 11-month travel program or working with Cugini's Technical Director to design an alternate coaching/ training program. AC Cugini provides free training and educational resources in Virginia to its coaches and trainers interested in learning Italian player development methodology as well as discounts on coach training courses in Italy sponsored by the Italian National Olympic Committee and the Italian Soccer Federation. All Cugini teams are automatically eligible for tournament play in Italy each summer as well as review by scouts from professional Italian clubs.
All Cugini independent teams practice in Reston in fall and spring. League games are played in Reston or nearby depending on referee assigning.
Independent teams must finalize arrangements to join AC Cugini by January 1
for the Spring season and by June 1
for the Fall season to meet travel league registration rules and deadlines.
