What age group am I supposed to register for?
Please register for the grade your player(s) is CURRENTLY in at the time of registration.

Who can participate in Evansville Angels Softball?
Girls meeting the age and residency requirements are invited to play. Girls must have completed 4k (or be 5 years old) to begin at the U6 age level. Participants must attend the Evansville school district or have a parent with their primary residency in Evansville to meet the residency requirements.

Start Dates:
U6 (4k & Kindergarten) – early June
U8 (1st - 2nd grades) – mid-May
U10+ (3rd - 8th grades) – mid-April

What days of the week are practices held?
Practice days are dependent upon field & coaches’ availability. However, The Angels, typically reserve Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday for pre-season practices. Starting in June, practices are commonly held Sunday at the coaches discretion. 

What days are games played?
U6 – No league games played. Practice only on Sunday afternoon/evening.
U8 – Tuesday; includes home and away games
U10 – Tuesday and Thursday; includes home and away games
U12-U14 – Monday and Wednesday; includes home and away games
 *Game days are subject to change based on league schedules.      

How long is the season?
League games begin in June going through the end of July. All age groups’ practices and games will conclude at the end of July… with the exception of any tournament play past July.

What equipment is needed?
U6: Each player is required to provide their own glove. 
U8: Each player is required to provide their own glove and batting helmet.
U10-14U: Each player is required to provide their own glove, batting helmet, fielding mask and cleats are encouraged. Metal cleats are not allowed.
*Loaner equipment is available if needed.

What is needed for uniforms?
U6 & U8 – T-shirts are included with the registration fee. Ball pants or shorts of any color are acceptable for game days.
U10 – U14 – Game jerseys are a separate purchase through the Angels online store. The store link is provided annually during registration. Players are asked to provide black ball pants and royal blue socks. Belts (if needed) can be blue or black.

Will there be weekend tournament commitments?
Tournament play is dependent upon tournament openings and coaches/player availability. Tournaments are open to the 10U-14U age groups. If played, teams would look to do 1-2 tournaments during the duration of the season.
