Head Coach - Steve Wallace:
The team will be coached by Steve Wallace who is also the Director of Coaching at CDO Soccer Club - NSCAA Master Coach Diploma - NSCAA Premier Diploma & National Goalkeeping Diploma (Level III) - Former Youth Coach for Newcastle United FC (EPL)
The monthly coaching fees are between $70 - $85 a month based upon three training sessions a week, (depends upon number of players in the squad)
CDO Edge U17G is a competitive team that will play in either a State League II schedule starting in the fall of 2011. Beginning in mid-late July with pre-season fitness training, the team will train three times a week (times/location tbd) through April 2012, with league games on Saturdays either in Tucson or Phoenix. Additional technical/goalkeeping sessions may be available on an optional basis. Our projected tournament schedule, (subject to change), will be determined at a team meeting, with a focus on quality over quantity, with college showcae events a significant part of it while keeping costs as low as possible. There will be two training camps, one taking place in pre-season and one before the State tournament. Tournament costs are split evenly between the players on the roster – for example, a $420 entry fee in a 16 player squad is $30 per player to enter. These costs can be offset through fundraising, sponsorships or donations, or simply paid on a per tournament basis.
