Summer Soccer Camps

The soccer club is pleased to offer 2 different soccer camps this summer - the Challenger Soccer Camp for our u-8 and under soccer players, and the Reading Rage Camp for our travel players (u-9 and up).  Both Camps will be located at the Eagle Complex.

We will continue to offer the popular British Soccer Camp from Challenger Sports - but this is primarily targeted the soccer players in our developmental program - u-5 through u-8.  The younger kids and parents have always given us great feedback about the program and it has been well attended.  And new this year - camp costs have been reduced to enable more familes to participate in a fun week of soccer!

July 28th – August 1st @ Eagle Complex,

675 Red Dale, Orwigsburg, PA 17961

Structure.  Teams and players will be evaluated on fitness, skill, and game knowledge in order to prepare them properly for their season with Blue Mountain SC. Sessions will focus on certain technical topics such as turning with the ball, receiving, finishing, first touch, and heading as well as tactical topics such as developing the game from the back, positional awareness, formations/players roles, and working with positions (ie. the midfield) as a unit. Topics and sessions will be tailored to meet the age specific groups and need of that individual and team.

Fitness. Fitness sessions are designed to improve soccer speed, stamina, and strength. Much of our fitness training incorporates the ball and dynamic exercises that incorporate soccer movements. Players are taught about nutrition and injury prevention as well as the mental aspects of the game of soccer. All Blue Mountain players will receive written handouts of our Nutritional Guidelines, Injury Prevention and 1000 Touch workout.

Team Bonding. This is a great opportunity for players to train and learn together and grow stronger as a team. Our sessions focus on the team aspect of the game and having all players strive towards a common goal.
