Tonka United Soccer Association is Honored to be recognized in the Partner Spotlight this Month for the Positive Coaching Alliance

This month's partnership spotlight shines on Tonka United Soccer Association.  TUSA, a non-profit, is one of the largest soccer associations in Minnesota, serving more than 3,500 players, ages 4-19, in both recreational and competitive programs.

TUSA’s mission is to:

• Promote, sponsor, obtain facilities for and conduct a supervised program of soccer development, training and competition
• Offer and provide a full scope of soccer experiences for its players, including Recreational, Traveling (Competitive) and Premier (Select) levels of play
• Provide its players with an opportunity to grow, mature, become better citizens and sports persons and to aid in their physical, emotional and mental development
• Develop, train and nurture coaches and referees to support this program and its players.

TUSA partnered with Positive Coaching Alliance-Minnesota in December 2014, hosting Double-Goal Coach® and Second-Goal Parent® workshops to educate coaches and parents on how to better serve the “whole player,” and provide best practices in developing players and citizens. TUSA is a member of the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association and of US Youth Soccer, itself a national partner of Positive Coaching Alliance.
