2013/2014 Tonka United Tryout Information
Tonka United tryouts take place each year as soon as MYSA allows for, which is usually the day after the MYSA State Tournament ends, typically around the 1st week of August (U9-U11 teams are held earlier, during the month of July). Players will be evaluated in a formal tryout format and teams will be formed accordingly shortly thereafter. This is an important part of the team formation process.
Note: All players must register before tryouts to be placed on a team.
U9-U11
Thursday July 18 and Friday July 19, 2013 (Players are expected to be at both days of tryouts)
- U9 Boys and Girls - 3:00 - 4:30
- U10 Boys and Girls - 5:00 - 6:30
- U11 Boys and Girls - 7:00 - 8:30
U12-U18

Results and Team Formation Guidelines
- Teams from Fall to Summer Season are subject to change based on registrations, commitments, and other unforeseen circumstances. For the most part, fall teams will be summer teams.

Top teams in each age group will be formed first, usually within the 1st week of tryouts. All other teams will be formed and finalized soon thereafter.

Players will be contacted via email as to their individual team placement.

Players will be asked to accept their spot and confirm their commitment to their team within 48 hours of the sent email.

THERE WILL BE NO CONTESTING TEAM PLACEMENT OF ANY PLAYERS IN ANY AGE GROUPS. No phone calls will be taken or emails answered regarding this issue. Any other related questions or concerns will be addressed by Jonathan Schaefer and other Directors between Tuesday, August 21st and Thursday, August 23rd

Other Important Information
The main purpose of tryouts is to help us form teams with players of like soccer abilities. This allows for the most suitable player development environment – where players can have fun, be adequately challenged, and improve game day performance. It is important that every player in our program has the chance to succeed and enjoy playing soccer. Playing above or below one’s level often brings out frustration or boredom. Our goal is to find that perfect balance. Please help support the program by supporting your child – whatever level he or she is placed at.

*Premier Tryouts for U17 Girls. If you are only interested in being placed on the premier team, you only need to attend the premier tryouts. All other U17 girls or those who want to play at C2 or C3, attend the regular Age Group tryouts.
