Tonka United Spring/Summer 2013 Recreational Soccer (K-12)
Register your child for the GRADE THEY WILL BE ENTERING IN THE FALL OF 2013!
Ex: Your child is currently in the 1st grade, Register them for 2nd grade.
The deadline to register is March 3rd. Registrations received after that date will be assessed a $30 late fee. The player will be placed on a waiting list and will only be placed on a team if space is available. Buddy requests and school attended will not be taken into consideration after March 3rd. If there is no team for the late registrant, the registration fee will be refunded.
Uniforms: If your child did not purchase and/or participate in our program in 2011 or 2012, you will be required to purchase the new Tonka United rec uniform for $35. The rec uniform includes: a blue and a red jersey, blue shorts and blue socks. The $35 uniform fee IS NOT included in the registration fees listed below.

- Kindergarten-1st Grade: $95
- 2nd-8th Grade: $125
- High School Coed: $125

Summer Pre-K Program Details
- Six-game season runs Monday evenings - May 13, 20, June 3, 10, 17, 24 (No games on Memorial Day)
- Registration Open January 28th - March 30th
- Must be 4 years old by May 1st
- Teams are coached by parent volunteers
- Tonka United Recreational Trainers will be on each field to help team parent coaches
- Games are 4v4 (no goalkeepers)
- Structure – 45 minutes
- 15 minutes dribbling games
- 20 minute game with running time
- Cost: $70 (includes Play United T-shirt)

Other Important Information
Games: The season consists of 9 games and concludes with a league tournament, the Tonka Blast, the weekend of June 29th. Games are typically played one night per week. K-1st grade play their games at St. Therese and 2nd-12thgrade play at Freeman Park in Shorewood. Minnewashta Elementary is also used as a back-up.
Practices: The coach will schedule a practice least at once a week throughout the season. Practices are held at local parks and schools, usually within the Minnetonka School District.
Player Development Week: Clinics will be held the week of April 22nd on your game night for K-5th grade. 6-12th grade will have scrimmages on their game nights. Coaches are expected to be there to assist Tonka United Staff coaches in running the clinics.
Playing Nights (Games): Games will begin the week of April 29th. Please Click HERE to see Playing Days/Nights for your son and/or daughter's age group.
Team Selection: Registration is based on the grade the child will enter in the 2013-2014 school year. Players may designate ONE friend with whom they would like to play. That friend MUST request your child as well. There are NO multiple requests accepted. Teams are then formed by gender, grade and school whenever possible. We try to keep schoolmates together; however, we cannot always accommodate these requests due to the large number of players that participate in our program as well as the varying numbers of kids for each grade and school.
Players will be notified of their team at least two weeks prior to the start of the season by his/her coach.
Volunteers: We are always in need of volunteers to fulfill the following positions: coaches, assistant coaches, team managers,and assistance with the Tonka Blast. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the online Volunteer Registration found on our website after completing your child’s registration.
Coaches: Coaches will receive their rosters around March 30th. You will receive schedules at the coaches meetings to be held on April 13th.
Picture Days: Saturdays May 4th, 11th, and 18th (Rain date) at MMW. Picture schedule TBD

The Fall 2013 Rec program is open to boys and girls Pre-K-4th Grade. All games/clinics are on Saturdays beginning Sept. 7th and runs through* Oct. 12th. *times subject to change based on numbers of teams
